How certificates work
Finish a course and get a certificate of completion with its own verification link, ready to add to LinkedIn.
What a certificate of completion means
A certificate of completion shows that the learner marked every lesson of this course complete. It is not an exam result, a qualification or an accreditation.
No. It’s a certificate of completion: it shows you finished every lesson of a course. It isn’t a qualification and we aren’t an accredited body. What it does have is its own verification page, so anyone can check it’s real, and you can add it to LinkedIn.
What is on it
- Your name, largest
- The exact course title
- “Certificate of completion”
- The issuer: AI Guides On, published by Adapt Progress Evolve Limited
- The issue date
- A credential ID, in the form AGO-<year>-<6 characters, A-Z and 2-9, no 0/O/1/I>
- Its own verification link
Anyone can check it’s real
Share this page: anyone with the link can check it’s real.
Add it to LinkedIn
The “Add certificate to LinkedIn profile” button adds it under “Licenses & certifications” on your profile, linked to your verification page. It doesn’t post anything to your feed.
Badges you can take with you
Each course badge is also issued as an Open Badges 3.0 credential.
In Open Badges 3.0 the badge is a W3C Verifiable Credential (Verifiable Credentials Data Model v2.0): a standard file that other badge tools can read.
The credential names the Achievement (the course badge, with its criteria), the issuer (AI Guides On, published by Adapt Progress Evolve Limited) and the recipient.
The badge file isn’t signed yet, so for now the way to check a badge is its verification page on this site.
