# AI Guides On > Free, short AI courses for people who don't code: 3 to 6 lessons each, with the exact prompts, real screenshots and a finished thing at the end. Published by Adapt Progress Evolve Limited (UK). Each course is 3 to 6 lessons of 5 to 15 minutes, with the exact prompts we used, real screenshots and real results, and a finished thing at the end: a website, a meal plan, a kit of prompts you’ve tested. Every lesson is free to read. Sign in with an email link only if you want to save your progress and get a certificate of completion. ## How pages work - A course is 3 to 6 lessons. Every lesson page has the exact prompts, real screenshots with the date each was captured, a checkpoint per step and the problems you are likely to hit. - Every course lists its tools with what they cost, the date we checked the price and the source. Every page lists its sources and shows when it was published and last updated (the updated date changes only when the content does). - Every page has a markdown mirror: append .md to its path (e.g. https://aiguideson.com/index.md, https://aiguideson.com/courses.md). - Lessons are free to read with no account. Ours: made by the same studio that runs this site. ## Courses https://aiguideson.com/courses/ - [AI for beginners: start here](https://aiguideson.com/courses/ai-for-beginners-start-here/) (Beginner; 5 lessons, about 45 minutes in total; updated 2026-10-03): What AI chat tools like ChatGPT and Claude are, what they get wrong, and how to use one safely. The certificates, credit and marking cost money or are for enrolled students. The well-known courses expect programming and university maths, so if you do not code, start with a beginner course and come back to Stanford later. Markdown: https://aiguideson.com/blog/stanford-free-ai-courses-which-suit-beginners.md - ["AI responses may include mistakes": what the warning means and what to do about it](https://aiguideson.com/blog/ai-responses-may-include-mistakes-what-it-means/) (2026-10-22): It is a standing warning that any AI answer can be wrong, because these tools predict likely words and nothing checks the result against the facts. Treat it as a prompt to check anything that matters; for everyday questions a one-minute, three-step check is enough. Markdown: https://aiguideson.com/blog/ai-responses-may-include-mistakes-what-it-means.md - [The best ways to learn AI if you do not code](https://aiguideson.com/blog/best-ways-to-learn-ai-if-you-do-not-code/) (2026-10-20): If you want to use AI at work or at home, learn it by using a chat tool on small real tasks. Learn how to ask, learn how to check, and keep the prompts that work. The maths and Python roadmaps at the top of the search results are for people who want to build AI. Markdown: https://aiguideson.com/blog/best-ways-to-learn-ai-if-you-do-not-code.md - [Elements of AI free course: what it covers, who it suits and what to do next](https://aiguideson.com/blog/elements-of-ai-free-course-what-it-covers-and-what-to-do-next/) (2026-10-15): Elements of AI is a free online course from the University of Helsinki and MinnaLearn that teaches the ideas behind AI, such as machine learning and neural networks. It does not teach you to use chat tools, so if that is what you need, pair it with a hands-on course. Markdown: https://aiguideson.com/blog/elements-of-ai-free-course-what-it-covers-and-what-to-do-next.md - [Free AI courses with a certificate: what to check before you start one](https://aiguideson.com/blog/free-ai-courses-with-certificate-what-to-check/) (2026-10-13): Many free AI courses give a certificate of completion, but often only the lessons are free, and the certificate shows that you finished, not that you passed an exam. Before you start, check four things: what is really free, what the certificate says, how long it takes, and whether you end up with something you can use. Markdown: https://aiguideson.com/blog/free-ai-courses-with-certificate-what-to-check.md ## Planned courses (not written yet) - Build a simple app without coding: Describe a small app in plain English and get a working version you can use and share. - Make videos with AI: Plan, generate and edit a short video with AI tools, and know what you’re allowed to use it for. - Build your first AI agent: Set up an AI assistant that follows your instructions and does one job for you, with no code. - AI automation with no code: Connect the apps you already use so the routine admin happens on its own, with AI where it helps. - AI for your small business: Find the jobs in your business that AI can take on first, and the ones it shouldn’t touch. - AI for marketing: Use AI for briefs, first drafts and ideas without your marketing sounding like everyone else. - AI in spreadsheets: Get AI to write, fix and explain spreadsheet formulas, and check what it gives you. ## Site - [About AI Guides On](https://aiguideson.com/about/): Who writes and publishes AI Guides On, how each course is made, and how we keep the screenshots current.
